DESERT SAFARI
CAIRO - HATHOR TEMPLE - THE FOREST OF PILLARS - GABAL MUSSA - SANTA CATHERINA MONASTERY - THE BLUE MOUNTAINS- ARRADA CANYON - THE NAWAMIS - EIN HUDRA - THE COLORED CANYON. DAY 01: Arrive at Cairo international airport, transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay. DAY 02: Continental breakfast. Drive through Cairo AHMED Hamdy Tunnel, Ras Sudr, Abou-Zineima. Turn off-road through Wadi Mattala. Reach Serabit El Kaddim Bedouin Village and camp for overnight stay. DAY 03: Hike Mount Serabit El-Khadim (755 m.) to visit the ancient Egyptian temple of the Goddess Hathor. Visit the ancient turquoise mines of Wadi Baala. Drive through Wadi El-Ramla visiting the holy tomb of Sheikh Hebus and the Forest of Pillars. Cross Wadi El-Seih and Wadi Biraq. Drive through Wadi Fieran and visit its oasis (the largest oasis in south Sinai with10,000 palm trees). Reach Santa Catherina Bedouin Village and camp for overnight stay. DAY 04: Early morning, climb Mount Sinai (Gabal Mussa 2285 m.).Visit the Monastery of Santa Catherina. Visit the Blue Mountains of Wadi Zaghra. Drive through Wadi Arrada and visit its Bedouin Inscription Wall and camp for overnight stay. DAY 05: Hike the Canyon of Arrada. Drive through the area of Wadi Safra and Gabal Barga which is considered to be home to the best sand dunes and sand stone forms in south Sinai. Visit the Nawamis. Drive to Dahab and camp on the beach for overnight stay. DAY 06: Swim and snorkel in the Blue Hole of Dahab. Drive through Wadi Samghi, Wadi Hudra and visit the unique oasis of Ein Hudra. Drive through Wadi Lathy, Wadi El-Ein. Hike the Colored Canyon and camp for overnight stay. DAY 07: Visit the Delta of Nuweiba. Drive back to Cairo visiting the remains of the Barlev Line of Israel. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay. DAY 08: Continental breakfast. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure. |
